THE PROBLEM
How do you bring the memories of Holocaust survivor and artist Samuel Bak into the streets of present-day Vilnius? The Samuel Bak Museum needed a way to connect historical events with the actual places where they happened – making a difficult past accessible without losing its weight.
Our solution
“Samuel Bak Way” turned four locations in Vilnius into part of an interactive story. QR codes unlock a mobile experience guided by the voice of nine-year-old Samuel, with narratives based on the artist’s memoirs. Art, sound, history and interactive elements come together to let visitors experience the city through memories embedded in its streets.
