THE PROBLEM
The people and events that established Lithuania as a maritime power in the 1930s survive mostly in archives. Telling that story on film meant working from fragmentary material while still carrying patriotism, heroism, and the weight maritime trade held economically, socially and culturally.
Our solution
Maritime Lithuania is a 3D animation enriched with authentic fragments from historical archive photographs. Brave struggles and historical milestones are knotted together with the Baltic Sea, following the nation’s long journey towards it.
