THE PROBLEM
Phones have started running school life – distracting in class, eating up breaks, pulling kids deeper into endless scrolling. Nearly half of Lithuanian students already feel the grip of phone addiction and 1 in 8 is at serious risk. A ban on its own was never going to be persuasive.
Our solution
“Skip the phone, not your friends.” The rule got a sidekick in Skipas, a hippo in school uniform who skates, trips and sometimes forgets the rules himself, but always finds a better way to spend his time than scrolling. From posters and stickers to book tabs, the Friendship Bench and the Quiet Forest, he turned a ban into a movement – less screen, more life. skipas.lt
