VILNIUS ANTANAS VIENUOLIS PROGYMNASIUM
COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGN
Phones have started running school life. They distract in class, eat up breaks, and pull kids deeper into endless scrolling. In Lithuania, nearly half of students already feel the grip of phone addiction, and 1 in 8 is at serious risk.
That’s why Vilnius Antanas Vienuolis Progymnasium joined the “Away from phones, back to school” initiative. But instead of just banning phones, they started a movement: “Skip the phone, not your friends.”
The rule got a sidekick – Skipas, a hippo in school uniform. He’s far from perfect: he skates, he trips, sometimes he even forgets the rules. But he always finds interesting ways to spend his time without the phone, and shares them with other kids.
Skipas is a buddy kids can relate to. From posters and stickers to book tabs, the Friendship Bench, and the Quiet Forest, he turned the ban into something fun – less screen, more life.
